crazy Friday (Monday, July 3, 2006 - 3:47:37 PM) [Post a Comment]

If you are around me very long you will here me say "oh my word" expessing some exciteable happyness.

Oh my word I feel better!

It was really rough for four days, the pain was extreme,  then the pain begain to easy off.  Having some pain but more mangagable.

I am resting mostly and crocheing a little.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has been a crazy Friday!! The tolet would not flush and Don does not know about the two flush rule, if you flush it once and it does not flush you might flush it a secound time, but if it does not go down and out then you do not flush it again ... you get a pluger ... well the tolet overflowed and Don needs to be leaving to go to work so i get my sick self out of bed and mop up the mess.  Then the bank says we have had a large debit made to our acount, over 500$.  Don and i ask each other have you bought something and not told me aabout it.  NO.  I call the bank qucikly.  We sat in suspense all weekend; then come Monday the account is showing fine.  It was frustrating becasue we could not use the bank card for purchases, but fortunally we could use the good old fashion paper checks.  I call the bank again , Monday morning, to find out what is going on and i am told that the banking system had major issues over the weekend and they were working long hours to fix it.
And to top off Don's day he is learning a new computer laungaue and it is tough stuff.

I called the plummer but they could not come til monday.  Thankfully the toliet unstopped it self for the weekend.  The plummer came and unstopped the pipes and is working up an estimate to have the pipes replaced.  The pipes are in bad shape.  I also ask for an estimate to have the bathroom rentivated.  Our luandry room is outside the house inside a room beside thecarport.  Don has to take care of the laundry beccause i can not savely negotate the stars and a luandry basket coming in and out of the house.  He takes it to and from the laundry room and then we take care of folding and putting it away.

In three months i will go for a check up to see how much the fiboids have shrunk.  The concern now is not to have any infections while the fiboids are dieing off.  I really hope that this procedure also helps with eleviateing those really bad monthly cramps.

take care

embolization (Saturday, June 24, 2006 - 6:12:15 AM) [View Comment or Post a Comment]

I am at home recoperating from having a uterus full of fibroids embolized.  Embolization is  concedered a non sergical procedure.  A catheter is run from the groin to the uterus and the fibroids are seeded with small beads that plug the blood flow to the fiboids.  This cuts the blood flow to the fibroids and then they shrink.  The hope that they will shrink into nothingness.

Overall i am getting better, from brain surgery,  and i will be able to know more when i am feeling better; the fibrods have been draining my strenght and wearing me out with pain.  The dr. said the embolization went well.  It will take about three months for the fibroids to shrink; maybe a little longer for the larger ones.

Thank you for your prayers, food, yarn, and help during my recovery.

Sincerely,
carolaina

poem (Monday, June 19, 2006 - 2:44:40 PM) [Post a Comment]

The sun is out
the mood is dark
it is hot
the mood stews, simmerers
and i feel the blows of a hot wind
discomfort labors in the body
i am restless and caged
i am enough a live to know i did not die but should have.

can not sleep (Monday, June 12, 2006 - 12:12:34 AM) [Post a Comment]

The pain is becoming more presestent and the level of pain in rising.  I am coping by being more disagreeable; i do not mean to be and i certainly do not want to be.

I still can not drive and this is beginning to be a big problem.  I can not take care of errands about town on my own.  I have to go through the list of frineds til i can find someone who has some extra time to take me to the store or a dr's appointment.

There is a pretty evergreen in the front yard that is infested with bag worms and i strayed the lower half and had to ask Don to please spray the upper half of the tree.   I do not want to lose this tree that resides in our yard. I have not business trying to spray the tree; i could bearly drag the sprayer around; but life goes on and i have to keep the household running.

I am doing less and less around the house; i have not made the bed in weeks; i am not keeping the dishes dealt with in a timely manner; i do not have enegry to play with the stupid cats;

I have a couple of unplesasent medical preoperation tests coming up; have to find someone to take me to the drs appointments.  Antisicpate surgery in three to four weeks to embolize the fibroids.
